How to Join the Intertribal Technical Assistance Working Group (ITWG)

The Intertribal Technical Assistance Working Group (ITWG) is an avenue to exchange views, information, and advice, about how tribes may best implement VAWA 2022 Special Tribal Criminal Jurisdiction (STCJ) to combat domestic violence, recognize victims’ rights and safety needs, and safeguard defendants’ rights.

 

The ITWG hosts disciplines-specific monthly calls:

• Implementing Tribes Call - held the first Friday of each month.

• Judge’s Call - held the third Tuesday of each month.

• Defense Counsel Call - held the second Monday of each month.

• Law Enforcement Call - held the third Monday of each month.

 

Joining the ITWG is easy and free. Individuals working in Indian country on ITWG issues or tribal representatives may join.   Joining the ITWG is one way to ensure that you are well-informed about the in-person meetings, calls, and able to access the TA Team for support.
